Trikk and MEUTE Team Up for ‘Raiva’ on Innervisions

A blazing pact. Two distinct musical styles fuse in ‘Raiva’ – Trikk in collaboration with MEUTE.

On the one hand, we have Trikk’s aesthetic: a mysterious and meticulously crafted fusion of electronic music and visual performance. The Porto-born producer and DJ is known for his deep, percussive and aesthetically distinctive productions, which he releases on labels such as Ninja Tunes, Innervisions and DGTL. His signature approach combines deep rhythms with cinematic storytelling, constantly pushing the boundaries of underground electronic music. 

On the other side is the 11-piece powerful, organic energy of MEUTE. The Hamburg based brass band that has been attracting attention worldwide since 2015 and has set itself the task of translating House and Techno classics a la ‘Rej’ or ‘The Man With The Red Face’ into its own versions.

‘Raiva’ unites these two worlds, blending Trikk’s rhythmic, new-wave-infused sound with MEUTE’s commanding brass section. The result is a dynamic interplay where Trikk’s grooves meet the explosive power of live instrumentation, creating a tune that is both precise and untamed.

Behind the name lies a humble (foremost) producer and DJ; someone who has made his mark through a careful selection of labels. His reputation is one of an artist who pays acute attention to detail across every avenue, and although this has resulted in a smaller production catalogue, his output has gained mighty respect from fellow DJs and music lovers all over the world.

MEUTE is a Techno Marching Band – eleven drummers and horn players from Hamburg / Germany who fulfil the job of a DJ with their acoustic instruments. The archaic conglomerate of brass and drums creates a new genre by combining hypnotic driving techno and expressive brass band music. MEUTE detaches electronic music from the DJ desk and evolves the thrust of energy on stage or directly in the crowd. Be it on the streets or in the club, with or without electricity – MEUTE runs!
