Tensal drops four new techno cuts on Concrete Records LTD vinyl only EP

Concrete Records is an Italian label based in Rome that has seen contributions from Voices From the Lake, Minilogue, Svreca, Samuli Kemppi, Echologist aka Brendon Moeller, Cassegrain, and many more, with many releases gaining multiple represses.

Tensal returns to Concrete following remixes and a VA appearance. In addition to his stellar eponymous label series, the Spanish titan is well-known for his collaborations with renowned labels like as Slam’s Soma, Oscar Mulero’s Warm Up, Bas Mooy’s Mord, Emmanuel’s ARTS, and P.E.A.R.L.’s Falling Ethics.

The first of four works and title track “Behind Consciousness,” begins with soothing tones combining with chopping percussion and angular bleeps that deliver a purposeful and uncompromising tension.

Second up, “Itaewon,” has a dark and moody groove, where cyclical elements and a chugging synth are surrounded by haunting textures and atmospheric sweeps.

“Mandrax” has a warm analogue sound with a bouncing bassline and metallic hits partnered with piercing shakers and occasional, plucking, electronic overtones for a masterful, trippy and hypnotic journey.

Closing with, “Foeh,” the stuttering kick acts as an abstract metronome for this purist ride of morphing, spacey details that rise and fall transporting to a place between heaven and oblivion.
