Patrik Widmer drops peak time techno release ‘Touch My Soul’

Patrik Widmer is an exciting techno producer and DJ whose new release is a thundering techno single called Touch My Soul, and it’s out now on the Plastic Toys record label.

Although a relatively new producer, Patrik Widmer has been perfecting his craft since the ‘90s, and his style pays homage to that era’s upbeat style of techno. Not only is he a fan of the Roland TB-303 and its iconic acid lines, he also enjoys the euphoria of trance, and his techno tracks often fuse those elements.

The original mix of “Touch My Soul” has Patrik Widmer’s love of acid on full display, as the acidic lead synth swells in intensity as the track unfolds. The punch of the kick drum and flicker of the hi-hats helps drive the groove, as it builds towards the suspense of the breakdown where the namesake vocal is introduced. The powerful lead synth continues to grow in the final section of the track, which has a full throttle ending after the drums are reintroduced.

Next up is the ‘Rave Mix’ of Touch My Soul, which puts a different spin on things with a bigger and more prominent acid lead alongside a throbbing new bassline. Raw and aggressive with a menacing vibe, this version is perfect for those who prefer a more in-your-face style of techno.
