Meta not renewing their deal with SIAE

So, Meta dropped a bombshell by announcing that they won’t renew their license agreement with SIAE, the organization that handles copyrights and payouts for artists. It basically means that the SIAE music catalog won’t be available on Facebook and Instagram anymore, including Reels and Stories.

So long to grooving to Italian tunes on social media. However, don’t worry, peeps! You can still enjoy international music that’s not part of the SIAE repertoire. But, this move will hit home for Italian artists since most of them (including the famous ones) are part of the SIAE catalog. Bummer!

Meta is cracking down on any infringement of musical rights and banning any content that doesn’t hold the proper licenses.
