Parisian house phenomenon Martin Solveig is bringing the feelgood party vibes on new single ‘I Don’t Wanna Work’ featuring British rapper Stefflon Don, out on 29th September via POSITIVA/EMI

Continuing Martin Solveig’s album campaign ahead of his highly anticipated LP release later this year, ‘I Don’t Wanna Work’ pairs a classic Solveig disco groove with the infectious vocal hooks of Stefflon Don. They rehearsed I do one take / I wake up and take a long break” she sings, soaking in the carefree vibes. A celebration of good times fuelled on funk guitars and a playful bassline, this is a dance anthem perfectly timed to cap off the summer. 


It follows the June single ‘Now Or Never’, a rousing, emotional banger featuring a soaring lead vocal from in-demand singer-songwriter Faouzia.

Global multi-platinum-selling Parisian artist ​​Martin Solveig ​​has achieved phenomenal success in his 20 years as a DJ, producer and songwriter and still continues to push the boundaries of music with his pioneering ideas. He honed his craft in his teens, became a resident DJ at revered Parisian clubs ​​Le Palace ​​and ​​Le Queen, and before long was releasing chart-topping singles and producing for Madonna. In recent years Martin​ has teamed up with fellow house aficionado ​David Guetta​ on ‘​Thing For You​’, and also performs as ​EUROPA​​, a collaborative project with fellow producer ​​Jax Jones which most recently found success with the 2022 summer anthem ‘Lonely Heart’ featuring Gracey. With a huge 2023 ahead, Martin’s tour schedule is set to hit 50 shows, alongside 4 sets at Ushuaia, Ibiza this summer. 

Solveig is joined on ‘I Don’t Wanna Work’ by British dancehall/rap artist Stefflon Don switches between Jamaican patois, grime verses, and honeyed vocals with ease and confidence. She broke through in 2017 with the Top Ten hit ‘Hurtin’ Me’, and won MOBO and NME Awards before her 2018 mixtape Secure charted in the Top 40. She appeared on Wiley‘s 2019 hit ‘Boasty’, as well as subsequent solo singles such as 2020’s ‘Can’t Let You Go’, 2022’s ‘Like That’, and the assured dance-rap single ‘Move It’ appeared in 2023.Ahead of his hotly anticipated album release in October and in the midst of a huge tour schedule, ‘I Don’t Wanna Work’ finds Martin Solveig in his element on this fun-loving party tune.
