Mexican DJ and producer Low Foam releases his fresh reinterpretation of the timeless classic, “Adagio For Strings,”out Friday, October 4th via his label Multiverse Recordings.

“Adagio For Strings,” originally composed by American musician Samuel Barber in 1936, began as part of his ‘String Quartet, Op. 11.’ The piece gained widespread acclaim after being arranged for string orchestra, but it was its journey into electronic music that solidified its legendary status. Tiësto famously adapted it for the EDM scene in the early 2000s, a version which went on to be voted by Mixmag as the second greatest dance record of all time. Ferry Corsten later offered his remix, drawing inspiration from William Orbit’s interpretation, further cementing “Adagio For Strings” as an enduring piece in electronic music history.

Now, Low Foam is making his mark on this beloved anthem, injecting his own style and sound. For over a decade, Low Foam has been a standout in the Melodic House & Techno scene, gaining support from influential figures like Adriatique, Agents Of Time, David Guetta, Hardwell, and Armin Van Buuren. His reputation, particularly in Latin America, has grown exponentially, thanks to his signature sound and innovative musical approach.

The “Adagio For Strings” reinterpretation will feature an Extended Mix, exclusively available on Beatport, perfectly capturing Low Foam’s distinctive style while paying homage to the emotional depth of the original piece. With this release, Low Foam aims to push the boundaries of electronic music yet again, merging the classical roots of this iconic track with the evolving sounds of contemporary dance.
