Linus Beatskip drops new techno release “Subliminal Hypnosis” feat. Remixes by Mac Vaughn, Paul Prior & River 44

Linus Beatskip’s peak time techno record label, Beatskip Records presents an exhilarating new release featuring original music from the label owner plus remixes by Mac Vaughn, Paul Prior and River 44.

Based in Sweden, Linus Beatskip’s style is similar to producers such as Thomas Schumacher and Julian Jeweil. He spent many years DJing at influential clubs in the southern part of Sweden, and his new track “Subliminal Hypnosis” is a ground-shaking production that blends brutal percussion and a hulking kick drum with dramatic chord stabs. It’s a monstrous track that takes no prisoners with its fearsome sound.

Also on remix duty, Mac Vaughn is an American artist who heads up the highly respected Fierce Animal imprint. He has also featured his explosive style on with mesmerising synths and pounding percussion on other labels such as Dark Face Recordings. Mac Vaughn’s remix of Subliminal Hypnosis adds a rumbling bassline with pulsating rhythms. Building on that foundation, he adds an electrifying synth line which builds towards a tension-building breakdown that utilises the original’s trippy vocals.

Paul Prior is an Irish artist from Dublin who has been making waves with thundering techno releases on labels such as Carti Records to Catamount Records. His remix of “Subliminal Hypnosis” switches the 4/4 kick drum pattern to a breakbeat rhythm that underpins rattling hi-hats and industrial textures. Focusing on the percussion, Paul Prior adds the original’s vocal to create a trippy element to the ominous suspense of the breakdown sections.

River 44 is a dub techno artist from Seattle, USA, and his immersive style blends dystopian atmospherics with heavy percussion and deep synth chords. The River 44 Cut Up Mix of Subliminal Hypnosis drops the tempo to focus on the thud of the kick drum, as the warped bassline and gritty percussion add to the remix’s eerie atmosphere. It’s a murky version with an underground sound that contrasts nicely with the big room energy of the other remixes on this release.
