It’s a two-track EP. The title track, “Hold It,” has 80s-style synths and a groovy bassline combined with a catchy chorus hook, sandwiched between reggae-style vocals in the verse. It has all the hallmarks of a classic, despite this being only the third official release from K LSY.
K LSY continue to impress with the B-side, which is another upbeat tech house track packed with party-starting energy. It’s got preacher-style vocals and organ chords providing a gospel feel, while the arpeggio bassline and thumping kick drum lay a foundation for the groove.
This is the second time K LSY has worked with Mantide, their only other release came out via the Sonoros record label. They are also talented DJs who play regularly in their home region of Italy, and the duo are expanding their audience with the help of their exceptional production skills.
