Hi Jacob, good to be chatting today! How have you been?

Everything is great. Thank you!

What was the inspiration behind your decision to pursue a path in music?

Before I started producing music, I provided background music on the piano at a local church. This experience provided me the knowledge to expand into other genres like Hip Hop, RnB, Reggaeton, Dancehall, and eventually, Dance music.

What were some of your early career milestones that helped you gain recognition in Electronic Music?

The biggest one thus far has to be when I earned a Billboard for a song that went #1 in the country. It was in collaboration with House legend, Crystal Waters.

How do you feel your music has evolved over the years, and what influences have shaped your sound?

My favourite section of a song is always the drums and bass. One example of how I’ve evolved with these particular elements is the use of 808s, rather than traditional toms or bass guitars. There are some great plugins focused around bass and the 808s which I use to help create weight, in my low ends.

Which collaborations or performances have been significant to your music career?

I would say going back-to-back with my favourite DJ, Oscar G. The cool thing about this was that it wasn’t just an ordinary back-to-back set, but I was playing alongside on the keyboard, instead of on the decks.

What are some of your favourite tracks or EPs that you have released thus far?

One of my latest ones titled ‘Show You How It Go’ is definitely one of my favorites.

What do you feel sets you apart from other artists in Electronic Music?

I have a unique sound, that nobody is currently making. I produce my tracks with particular attention to the percussion and bass, using techniques that help give my tracks the punch and groove, that sets it apart from other artists. My tracks carry a heavy bass and low-end groove, with dark synths that create a unique trappy, Hip Hop feel.

Can you share some memorable moments or highlights from your live performances?

My best memories are created when I’m locked in and focused. I’ve had many great times where I’ve created a cool transition or mash-up on the fly, that I didn’t practice which I felt proud about.

How do you feel your music has impacted your fans and the wider music community?

I can’t say I know exactly, but I do love receiving messages from fans throughout the world. In particular, I recall receiving a message from someone who said they met their future wife, at a party I played at. He told me how special the party was to him and thanked me for setting up a perfect vibe for them. Can’t say I have any other stories more meaningful, than that one.

What future projects or endeavours can we look forward to from you in the next few months?

I’ve been spending more time than usual on my past couple of songs. I’ve paid more attention to perfecting and learning new techniques that are helping me create better music. With that said, I’ll have new music out soon.
