DJ/Producer Cynthia Laclé Talks Summer Plans, New Releases, and Festival Anticipation

In this interview, we delve into DJ/Producer Cynthia Laclé’s plans and aspirations for the upcoming summer season; from her bustling schedule of music-related projects to the anticipation of new releases, Cynthia shares her excitement for the energetic, hard-hitting productions she has in store.

And with ambitious goals on the horizon, Cynthia is determined to continue pursuing her dreams and making waves in the music industry, so let’s dive in and learn more about Cynthia’s plans for the summer.

Hey Cynthia, how’s everything going?

Hiii, all good here, how are you doing?

All good! To start tell us, what do you have coming up this summer?

There will be a lot of music, Networking, events. Setting up a new company. So many things to do, but all music-related luckily.

What about your next releases? Can you give us a glimpse into what fans can expect to hear with your upcoming productions?
Sure, my next releases will be hard, energetic, maybe a little bit more raw/ underground sound. But overall Techno/ Hard Techno with a commercial twist. The new track that I am working on is an absolute banger. Can’t wait to share with you all. So curious about the feedback.

When it comes to your listening habits, would you say that the change of the season impacts your tastes? Have any new Artists captured your attention so far this summer?
No not really, I listen to many different types of music. I love for example Teddy Swims. But also Will Sparks, Deborah de Luca, so many great artists that inspire me. But every style inspires me in a different way though.

What live events, festivals, or shows are you attending this summer? Are there any that you will be performing at?

Yes, there will be a lot of events. I will be attending big festivals. And performing on several events. I also get a lot of new inspiration from festivals. And for me, it’s really important to be there for a lot of reasons.

Outside of music, can you tell us what you enjoy doing during the summer? Do you like to travel?

If I am not working on music, then I would definitely be working out or traveling to epic places to do extreme sports. I cannot sit still. And sports is a big must for me. I love to surf, kite, snowboard, climb, rafting, so many epic stuff to do and it takes you to amazing places. Can’t wait to start my next journey.

Which country do you think has the most exciting summer festival season?

I would have to say my hometown, Aruba (Caribbean island).

Do you find that the summer months evoke a different energy or emotion within your productions? How would you say the change of season impacts your creativity? Are you more inclined to sit down in the studio, or do you prefer to be performing?

The seasons don’t effect me as much. I think my personality provides my musical reflection. However, what I experience does effect my music. You can definitely hear that in my production. When my music is more aggressive then I definitely went through something traumatic. But for example, ‘Solid State’ is a track that just makes me float and really hits my heart. Other tracks are exhausting for me to let things go. I really don’t know where or what would happen to me if I didn’t had music.

Both professions (DJ/Production) have there charms. However, I just love to stand in front of a crowd and share music. To go offline and get caught up in the music is everything to me.

Do you prefer to perform small, intimate venues, or big summer festival stages?

My goal is to play at a big summer festivals, but in the end it doesn’t matter. It’s the crowd and the passion that you evoke. I don’t know the difference with a big festival because I haven’t played on a MainStage (yet). But in the end, you want to project your music and vibe with a certain type of people that would like it. And to bring them in, while I bring myself in as well, is just epic.

As we conclude our interview, can you share what you are most looking forward to achieving as we look ahead to your summer and the rest of the year?
I am working hard on my goals. And I really hope to work with bigger artists. I’m setting up a school and I keep looking forward to continue sharing my passion, and working on my dream to be performing at big stages soon.
