Romanian producer and Amphia co-founder Cristi Cons has unveiled details of his forthcoming album, Out of Cycle Part 2.
The LP arrives as a continuation of Out of Cycle Part 1, released in 2021, and further develops the artist’s exploration of fluid musical identity and non-linear creative processes.
Built around the idea of moving beyond established frameworks, the album avoids a fixed sonic blueprint. Instead, Cristi Cons draws from a wide range of influences, creating a body of work shaped by experimentation, spontaneity and a constantly evolving artistic perspective.
Throughout the record, club-oriented rhythms intertwine with more introspective compositions, while nuanced production techniques and carefully sculpted textures provide a sense of depth and spatial movement.
The title Out of Cycle reflects the project’s broader philosophy: rejecting repetition, challenging categorisation and embracing continuous transformation. This approach extends across both the album’s conceptual foundation and its musical execution.
Released through Amphia on vinyl and digital formats, Out of Cycle Part 2 continues Cristi Cons’ investigation into the space between functional dance music and immersive home listening. At the same time, the project points towards future possibilities for reinterpretation and adaptation across different listening contexts.
