The multifaceted Belgian artist debuts her newly pop-oriented sound
Breakthrough Belgian DJ, producer, model and environmentalist Eva Swan proves her pop prowess on her hypnotic new single ‘Hello Stranger’, out on 23rd April.
A finely crafted tech house delight that bursts with delicate melodies, ‘Hello Stranger’ showcases Eva Swan’s talents as both a songwriter and a vocalist. Backed by a moody bassline and ethereal synth textures, this femme fatale brings dark and mysterious vibes on this enchanting tune.
Speaking about the message behind the track, Eva says, “We can be revived only by love. It’s a true love story about passion, desire, tenderness and self-love. I believe you have the power to transform your life and bring back paradise on Earth.”
The world of Eva Swan is multifaceted. Hailing from Belgium, the DJ, producer, model, fashion enthusiast, activist and environmentalist has paved her own way thus far. Learning music theory at the age of eight, along with the guitar and flute by the age of 12, before the piano later at 18.
Eva’s entry point into electronic music came through working in clubs such as Belgium’s famous Café d’Anvers, before taking a one-way flight to Ibiza. As a promoter on the white isle she became immersed in the scene, becoming well-acquainted with clubs, DJ’s and the variation of sounds around her, accelerating her propensity for club-geared sounds. Teaming this with her early proficiency for classical forms and instruments, Eva’s sound encompasses a distinct appreciation for raw music elements.
Having appeared on line-ups at venues such as the previously mentioned, Café d’Anvers (Antwerp) and Fuse (Brussels), Tresor Berlin, Hör Berlin, StereoChic (Lille), alongside the likes of I HATE MODELS, Amelie Lens, Deborah De Luca, OXIA and more.
After all these years of solid hard techno sounds, Eva is now playing with different styles: tech house in combination with more commercial pop vibes as well as techno, melodic techno, electro, and dance.
Her new single ‘Hello Stranger’ is a perfect blend of Eva’s range of influences, taking her Ibiza roots and adding melodic sparkle, without ever losing her uniquely mysterious aura.
