Tenvin releases new EP ‘No Control’ alongside a remix from AIKON on Marginalia

Following the release Marginalia’s first compilation with ‘Bestiary Vol 1’ rounding off the first exciting six months since the launch of the imprint, label head Elif continues to support rising talent, signing Tenvin for his ‘No Control’ EP along with a remix from AIKON.

Last month’s label compilation gave a teaser of Tenvin’s style as he featured on the release, and now he returns with this impressive solo package. Tenvin’s soundscapes embody a sense of wonder and escapism. Whether performing live sets or curating productions, his musical prowess ignites a spark within, inviting you to surrender to the sonic journey that lies ahead. Says the label head, “Tenvin is a good friend and one of the first artists to promise me his music for my label even before I officially started it. Spain based Ukrainian AIKON is an artist I admire and super happy to welcome these two to my beloved label family.”

Opener ‘No Control’ is a brilliantly dramatic cut with rolling drums and sweeping synths that bring great scale and tension. As the grooves and the sprinkling of percussion roll on dancers are kept on their toes and the synths get ever more emotive. They turn into thunderous stabs that will make a real mark on the club.

Meanwhile, remixer AIKON is becoming one of the most promising electronic music artists of today with a multi-genre style that combines a mixture of indie house and broken rhythms. He has conquered the top of the Beatport Chart and has been one of the best-selling artists in the styles of indie dance and electronica for more than one year with support from the likes of Solomun, Dixon, Ame and more. His remix for Tenvin brings lush layers of scintillating melody that awaken the soul as the grooves take you late into the night.

Back to Tenvin, the second and final original from the EP is ‘Reset’ is another deep and progressive cut but this one has slap-funk snares and dark basslines that are lit up with some superb synth sequences that rain down from above.

With the EP already garnering early support from Oostil and Echonomist, Tenvin and his ‘No Control’ EP once again sees the Marginalia label stand out from the crowd with its dedication to showcasing the finest emerging artists on the scene right now.
