Alexi Delano drops a deep and raw techno release via Canadian record label Suleiman.
Born in Chile but currently based between the US and Sweden, Alexi Delano is an internationally respected producer who has been releasing electronic music since the ’90s.
With an eclectic style that stretches from stripped-back and atmospheric house to upbeat analogue techno, Alexi Delano has built up a back catalogue including classics on labels ranging from Richie Hawtin’s Plus 8 to Seth Troxler’s Visionquest.
Not only a talented producer, Alexi Delano is also an accomplished DJ who has travelled the world to play headline sets at prestigious venues all across the globe.
The three tracks on this release showcase an array of styles ranging from dystopian deep tech to jackin’ tribal techno.
“No Show” opens the release with its fizzing hi-hats, fluttering lead synth and lurching bassline that together creates a jazzy groove with eerie tension.
“Secret Drones” is a driving techno track with hypnotic chord stabs and a thumping kick drum layered with trippy vocal textures and thrashing hi-hats that combine to deliver a menacing groove.
“Work” closes out the release with its upbeat tribal percussion and looped vocal sample and twisted piano loop that adds delicate tones to the track’s otherwise gritty sound design.
