Kelly Cappuccio drops afro infused indie dance track “Chiquilla”

Kelly Cappuccio continues to showcase herself as a dynamic producer with her new indie dance single Chiquilla.

“Chiquilla” takes the upbeat drums that are often present in Kelly Cappuccio’s music, and fuses them with some invigorating vocal chants. There are also some melodic chords that bolster the track with their dramatic bursts.

Prior to this single, Kelly Cappuccio had primarily released tech house, but her catalogue includes everything from peak time techno to melodic mainstage.

This release explores a more tropical sound with the chanting vocals and tribal drums giving the track Afro undertones.

There are three different versions, which have each been produced by Kelly Cappuccio to switch “Chiquilla” into a different genre.

The original mix is the most melodic, with the twinkling melody pad flurries taking centre stage. Second is the ‘Techhouse Mix,’ which focuses on the throbbing bassline, and the ‘Afrobeat Mix’ is all about the drums.

Out now, it’s already gained DJ support from the likes of Sasha Carassi and Lonya.
